Introduction to Furniture Restoration Courses

Photo from one of the evening classes

Since we began to offer courses to the public, several years ago, they have evolved and developed into a selection that perfectly suit those who attend. To further ensure smooth running, Mike and Paul are always on hand to ensure your skills are enhanced, through hands-on tutoring and years of experience. Whether it be:

...you'll find a course at MillRace that will suit your ability and needs, and to make each course even more personal, you'll be working on a piece of furniture you'll have chosen yourself.

By using your own items you will really appreciate the skills that go into making a piece of furniture, whether it be from scratch or in restoration. In fact, if you have the time and the patience, you can learn how to restore many items of furniture for a fraction of the fee many other restorers charge.

Besides the practical reasons to acquire these skills, there are social and therapeutic reasons to learn. Much of what is accomplished is not physically difficult but can be very rewarding mentally. To find out more about our courses visit the individual pages describing what we cover in detail. Once you have decided which course suits your needs, feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
