French Polishing

MillRace offer a professional and comprehensive finishing service:

• Traditional polishing of all types of furniture
• Cleaning and waxing of antique pieces
• Staining and colouring to desired colour/effect
• Oil and wax finishing, specialist finishes
• Preservation and conservation of antique finishes

Alongside these services we can offer a 'modern' finishing service using modern cellulose laqueurs to acheive an etremely hard-wearing finish more appropriate to modern furniture i.e. Dining tables, sideboards and coffee tables

To give some idea of pricing and the times scale, we would charge about £250 to strip, colour and repolish a dining table (including extra leaves). We would require the table for up to 3 weeks for curing of finishes and we currently book larger pieces in for between 6 and 8 weeks ahead.

We will provide free estimates within 10 miles of Chelmsford and delivery and collection can be arranged for £30.
